A slide repair project on the northbound lanes of Interstate 29 in Holt County is set to commence on Monday, February 3. The work will be carried out by C.P. Excavating, LLC in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The repairs will take place between Route W and County Road 110.
The scope of the project includes rock fill at the slide location, edge drain installation, and erosion control measures. Upon completion of these tasks, crews will close the driving lane to make necessary shoulder repairs. The contractor aims to finish all repairs and reopen the driving lane by May 2025.
A width restriction of 15 feet will be enforced during the construction period. MoDOT has noted that all work is dependent on weather conditions and schedules may change accordingly.
MoDOT urges drivers to "work with us by always buckling up, keeping your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones." Travelers are encouraged to stay informed about potential work zones through traveler.modot.org.
For ongoing updates about this project and other work zones, individuals can sign up for eUpdates or contact MoDOT at 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636). Information is also accessible via social media platforms including Facebook, X, and Instagram.
