The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced a schedule for highway maintenance work in Northeast Missouri, set to take place from February 18 to February 28, 2025. The planned roadwork will affect several counties in the region.
In Macon County, Route K will be closed from February 18 to February 21 for culvert replacement operations. The closure will occur daily between Kennedy Street and Routes DD/AA from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Monroe County will experience lane restrictions on U.S. Route 24 from February 25 to February 27 due to patching operations. These restrictions will be in place between Missouri Route 15 Spur and Route W from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Pike County will see multiple closures on Missouri Route 79 for brush cutting operations. On February 26, the road will be closed from Rt B to CR 120; on February 27, it will be closed from Rt B to CR 117; and on February 28, the closure will extend from CR 9109 to CR117. All closures are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Additionally, Route V in Pike County will be closed for brush cutting operations from CR 577 to CR 461 on February 24 and February 25, with work taking place daily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
MoDOT advises that inclement weather may lead to changes in the schedule and urges drivers to exercise caution by buckling up, putting phones down, slowing down, and moving over in work zones.
