The Chariton County Route D bridge over Mussel Fork Creek, situated between Marceline and Keytesville, is scheduled to close on Monday, February 24th for a replacement project. The Northwest Bridge Bundle design-build team, Capital – Horner & Shifrin, has postponed the start date multiple times due to weather conditions and contractor schedules.
The completion of the bridge replacement is now anticipated in July 2025. During this period, Route D will be closed at the Mussel Fork Creek Bridge between Mussel Fork Avenue and Tonka Lane. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
Further details about the project can be accessed at: https://www.modot.org/projects/northwest-missouri-design-build-bridge-bundle. All activities are contingent on weather conditions and timelines may change.
