The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced plans to conduct pavement evaluations on a section of southbound I-35. The work will take place between 124th Street and 116th Street in Clay County, resulting in single lane closures. These closures are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to exercise caution. MoDOT reminds drivers that "not all work zones look alike," and emphasizes the importance of slowing down and staying attentive while driving in these areas. Work zones can vary and may include short-term or temporary lane closures for quick repairs or debris removal.
