A bridge rehabilitation project is in the planning stages for the U.S. Route 63 Little Piney Creek Bridge in Phelps County, Missouri. The bridge deck has deteriorated and requires replacement, though the supporting structures remain sound. The current plan involves maintaining traffic flow by using temporary signals to keep the bridge open but narrowing it to a single lane with a width of 10 feet.

The project is estimated to cost $1.3 million. More information can be found on the official website: https://www.modot.org/us-route-63-bridge-rehabilitation-phelps, where individuals can also sign up for updates regarding the project.

MoDOT advises motorists to "work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones." Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution in work zones, adhere to traffic signs, and minimize distractions.

For further updates on traffic or other transportation-related issues, MoDOT can be contacted at 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or through their Traveler Information Map. Additionally, information is accessible around the clock via social media platforms. MoDOT Central Missouri District maintains an active presence on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
