U.S. Route 63 in Columbia will experience a lane closure on Tuesday due to pavement repairs, as announced by the Missouri Department of Transportation. Construction crews will close one lane in each direction between the Conley Road underpass and Broadway overpass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on January 28 for pothole repairs. If necessary, this closure could extend into Wednesday, January 29, during the same hours.
Drivers traveling south of Interstate 70 on U.S. Route 63 are advised to consider alternate routes or allocate extra travel time due to expected traffic congestion.
In addition to these repairs, there is a nighttime closure of Conley Road scheduled from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., January 27-29.
Motorists are reminded to "slow down and pay attention in work zones," as well as to "Buckle Up" and "Phone Down."
