Ameren Missouri and the St. Louis Area BMW Centers are collaborating with the Saint Louis Science Center to present an electric vehicle (EV) showcase on March 22 and 23. The event, known as the EV Experience, will highlight advancements in EV technology and is free to the public. It includes interactive exhibits, vehicle displays, presentations, and test drives of various EV models.

Attendees can expect to see vehicles from Ford, Chevy, Rivian, and BMW among others. There will be opportunities to learn about EV ownership, charging options both at home and on the go, and a look inside how an EV operates. An EV trivia contest with prizes is also planned.

The event features test drives of popular models such as the Ford Mustang Mach E, Chevy Equinox EV, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, along with several BMW electric models including the i4 and i7. Pre-registration for test drives is recommended.

Broderick McKinney, Vice President of BMW Central Region stated: “BMW is proud to work alongside the Saint Louis Science Center and Ameren Missouri in showcasing our shared commitment to innovation and electrification.” He added that this experience introduces electric mobility while highlighting BMW's range of electrified vehicles.

Ahead of the event weekend, Ameren Missouri will offer an online session called EV 101 for registered participants on March 18. This session will cover different types of electronic vehicles available today and provide tips on charging them at home or in public spaces. Becky Whitman from Ameren Missouri expressed excitement about partnering with the Science Center and BMW: “This event gives attendees an opportunity to experience [EVs] firsthand."

The Saint Louis Science Center aims to engage people in science through its many hands-on exhibits and experiences. It has been recognized as a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate since 2016.
