Governor Mike Kehoe has announced four new appointments to state and county positions in Missouri. The announcement includes one appointment to fill a county office vacancy and three appointments to various boards and commissions.
Leisha Barry of Holt has been named to the Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents. Barry is a retired client services vice president for Cerner Corporation. She continues her involvement in the community through roles with the Northwest Missouri State University Foundation Board and the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City via the University of Missouri Extension. Her previous experience includes serving as trustee, secretary, and president of the Liberty Hospital Foundation. Barry holds a bachelor's degree in medical technology from Northwest Missouri State University and an MBA in Management from Rockhurst University.
Kamera Meaney of Blue Springs has been appointed to the MO HealthNet Oversight Committee. Meaney is currently chief of health policy and government relations officer for University Health in Kansas City. She also serves as board president of Nurture KC and sits on the University of Missouri–Kansas City Alumni Board. Previously, she was a commissioner for the City of Blue Springs Art Commission. Meaney earned her bachelor's degree in history from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, an MBA from MidAmerica Nazarene University, and a master's degree in history from Marquette University.
Steve Poniewaz of Ballwin will join the Credit Union Commission. He is president and CEO of First Missouri Credit Union in St. Louis and participates actively with the Affton-Lemay Chamber of Commerce. Poniewaz received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Maryville University.
Beth Wulff of Vienna has been appointed as Maries County Collector. Wulff currently serves as deputy county collector for Maries County and is involved with local parochial schools where she acts as SCRIP coordinator. She holds an associate's degree in business and computer specialization from Metro Business College.
