The Saint Louis Science Center has been named the best free museum in America by Newsweek's Readers’ Choice Awards. This recognition comes as the institution continues to receive top honors for its commitment to expanding STEM experiences. The Science Center was selected from a list of 15 nominees, which were chosen by Newsweek’s travel experts and editors, and voted on by readers across the United States. Last year, the center placed second in these awards.

The Science Center offers a range of interactive STEM experiences through its ten galleries, OMNIMAX Theater, and James S. McDonnell Planetarium. More information can be found at slsc.org.

This award follows recent accolades from USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, where the Science Center was ranked first as Best Planetarium, second as Best Free Museum, and fifth as Best Science Museum.

Located in Forest Park at 5050 Oakland Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri, the Saint Louis Science Center is open Thursday through Monday with varying hours. During Spring Break from March 13 to 31, extended hours will be offered until 5:30 p.m.
