FOIA Request to Missouri State Board of Education Regarding Instructional Mandates for State K-12 Schools on December 10, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Show-Me State Times have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Missouri State Board of Education. The request specifically seeks a list of all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools, including all required courses and general instruction.
We believe that access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we have requested a fee waiver as media professionals under the Missouri Sunshine Law § 610.023 et seq.
We eagerly await the response from the Missouri State Board of Education and will continue to strive towards keeping our readers informed about local educational policies and mandates.
