A Missouri Lottery player recently picked up a winning "777 Jackpot" Scratchers ticket after an unplanned stop at Circle K in Chesterfield. The purchase, made at 15530 Olive Blvd., led to a top prize win.

The winner delayed getting gas the night prior, stating, "I stopped that morning on the way to work and picked up one of those tickets." Upon scratching the ticket, the amount initially seemed unbelievable.

"It honestly looked fake at first," the winner admitted. But after repeatedly verifying the amount, it became apparent that the ticket was indeed a winner of $777,777. "Once I knew it was real, I started to panic a little bit!" he recalled, concerned about retaining the ticket’s safety before arriving home to sign it securely.

This financial blessing will support the couple's planned 20th anniversary trip. "My wife and I were going to take our 20th anniversary trip this year, and this will help fund that," the winner noted.

The "777 Jackpot" Scratchers game, which commenced on February 24, has already awarded over $8.7 million in prizes. An additional $25.3 million remains in unclaimed prizes, including another top prize of $777,777 and three prizes of $77,777.

Lottery players in St. Louis County saw winnings exceeding $200.8 million during FY24. Retailers benefitted from $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses, while local education programs gained more than $161.2 million from appropriated Lottery proceeds.
