Hawley responds to reports of FBI surveillance on Republican lawmakers

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) issued a statement responding to recent reports that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), under President Joe Biden's administration, monitored the private communications and phone calls of several Republican lawmakers. The alleged surveillance was reportedly conducted as part of the "Arctic Frost" investigation.

In his public response, Hawley said, "The truth comes out. Biden’s Stasi who claimed to be saving 'our sacred democracy' in fact worked overtime to destroy it – all for power. They spied on Catholic churches, prosecuted pro-lifers, deployed the FBI against parents at school board meetings – and tried to tap the…" The statement was posted on his official social media account.

According to the information released by Hawley, the FBI targeted multiple members of Congress during this operation. Those named include Senators Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), and Representative Mike Kelly (R-Pa.).
