Two Kansas City men have been sentenced in connection with a 2022 carjacking in St. Louis County. U.S. District Judge John A. Ross sentenced Reginald Hudson, 29, to 125 months in prison on Monday. Earlier, on July 9, Judge Ross sentenced Ki’Juan Calhoun, 28, to 144 months in prison. Both were ordered to pay $24,438 in restitution.

Hudson and Calhoun pleaded guilty in April to charges of carjacking and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. According to court documents, the two men stole a 2019 Ford Fusion at gunpoint from a woman outside her apartment on January 12, 2022. The victim reported seeing both men descending stairs while pointing handguns at her. One demanded her car keys, purse, and phone before both fled in her vehicle.

“I completely understand the terror you had to be feeling that night,” Judge Ross told the victim during sentencing.

The following day, Kansas City Police located the stolen vehicle. Their investigation led them to Hudson at a nearby residence where they also found the victim’s purse and debit card along with two handguns.

The case was investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ashley Walker.
