U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey sentenced Jordin White, a 24-year-old from St. Louis, to 97 months in prison for possession of guns, fentanyl, and cocaine base. The sentence was handed down on Tuesday.

White was initially spotted by detectives from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Anti-Crime Task Force on April 29, 2024. He was seen in a stolen Chrysler 300 with a firearm magazine visible in his shorts pocket. After being detained, officers found a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun on him and an AR-style pistol loaded with 30 rounds in the vehicle. Additional ammunition, cash, a scale, and capsules containing fentanyl and cocaine base were also discovered.

On June 5, 2024, White was again observed by the Anti-Crime Task Force conducting transactions from an Audi A4 parked in a lot. Despite police efforts to stop him using spike strips, he fled until losing control of the car and escaping on foot while carrying a Glock handgun with a large-capacity drum magazine loaded with 32 rounds. Officers later found marijuana packaged in baggies.

White pleaded guilty to three felony counts in March: possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

The case was investigated by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Christian Goeke.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which unites law enforcement at various levels with communities to reduce violent crime and gun violence for safer neighborhoods. On May 26, 2021, the Department launched an enhanced violent crime reduction strategy for PSN focusing on fostering community trust and legitimacy, supporting community organizations to prevent violence proactively, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring outcomes.
