The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reached out to Governor Mike Kehoe, urging him to sign several pro-business bills passed by the Missouri General Assembly during the 2025 legislative session.

Among the bills awaiting the governor's decision is HB 567, sponsored by Gallick, which aims to provide clarity for business owners facing challenges with Proposition A. This proposition mandated businesses to implement paid leave and minimum wage policies deemed unsustainable.

SB 71, introduced by Gregory, seeks to support public safety through tuition waivers for first responders and their dependents. Meanwhile, HB 1041 from Diehl proposes reducing inspection fees for malt liquor manufactured in American breweries as a means of easing regulatory burdens on domestic brewers.

Carter's SB 150 focuses on workforce development by establishing the Career-Tech Certificate Program. This bill also promotes STEM career awareness and offers loan repayment options for healthcare workers. Lastly, SB 47, presented by Trent, intends to align Missouri’s civil procedure rules with federal regulations by amending Supreme Court Rule 52.08 concerning class actions.

Under Missouri law, Governor Kehoe has 45 days to decide on these bills after the legislature adjourns. His options include signing them into law, vetoing them, or taking no action—resulting in their becoming law automatically after the deadline.
