A Missouri Lottery player was taken by surprise after discovering he had matched all five winning numbers in the Show Me Cash draw on February 14. The winning numbers were 3, 4, 15, 17, and 19.
“You play the lottery and you never think you’ll win,” the winner said. “But when you do, it’s a real treat!”
The ticket was purchased at Tridel Food Mart located at 11050 Holmes Road in Kansas City. It was one of two winning tickets for that draw. The other ticket was sold in Richmond Heights. Both winners will share the $165,000 jackpot equally.
The winner mentioned plans to use part of his winnings for repairs on a recently purchased fixer-upper home.
Show Me Cash is a daily draw game with jackpots starting at $50,000 that increase until claimed. The estimated jackpot for tonight's drawing is $172,000.
In fiscal year 2024, players in Jackson County won over $109.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses while over $22 million from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
