The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced plans for maintenance work across the Kansas City area from February 3 to 7, subject to weather conditions. The maintenance will affect several highways and roads in Jackson, Johnson, Pettis, and Saline counties.

In Jackson County, the right lane of U.S. Highway 40 westbound at Little Blue Parkway will be closed on Monday, February 3, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for ditch work. Additionally, US-40 eastbound at Cliff Drive will see the right lane closed on Tuesday and Wednesday during the same hours for similar work. Missouri Highway 291 outer road between SW Stuart Road and SW Hook Road will have flagging operations on Thursday and Friday.

Johnson County will experience various lane closures on Missouri Highway 13 between Route PP and SE 600 Road throughout the week from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for brush cutting activities.

In Pettis County, Route O between Route HH and Route N will face sectioned closures each day from Monday through Friday within the same time frame for brush cutting efforts.

Saline County's Missouri Highway 240 between U.S. Highway 65 and Missouri Highway 41 South is scheduled for pothole patching with various lane closures expected throughout the week during daylight hours.

Motorists are advised to slow down and stay alert while navigating these work zones as they can vary in appearance or be temporary due to quick repairs or debris removal from roadways.
