Route D in Shannon County will experience periodic closures and flagger-controlled work zones due to multiple culvert replacements, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The affected section extends from Route 106 to Route 19. Work zones will be established at each culvert site, ensuring that the entire roadway is not closed simultaneously.
The project is scheduled to commence on February 3rd, beginning at the west end of Route D and progressing eastward towards Route 19. If weather conditions permit, the work will continue through February 28th, taking place daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During this period, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be halted by an automated flagger system as crews perform maintenance. A temporary width restriction of 16 feet will be enforced within these zones. MoDOT advises motorists to expect delays and consider alternative routes where possible.
Work zones will be clearly marked with signs, and automated flagger assistance devices will be deployed. MoDOT emphasizes the importance of exercising extreme caution when traveling near these areas.
