University of Missouri climbs ranks among top national online bachelor’s programs

In the latest assessment by U.S. News & World Report, the University of Missouri has been recognized for its online education offerings. The university has secured the 25th spot in the ranking for best online bachelor's degree programs in the nation, moving up three places from last year.

Mizzou also made progress in serving veterans, climbing to No. 14 for best online bachelor's degrees for veterans. The university was acknowledged in several other categories as well: sixth place for best online master's in nursing education, 14th place for best online master's in special education, and 17th place for best online bachelor's in business programs.

Mizzou Online provides over 185 degrees and certificates across undergraduate and graduate levels. Students enrolled online have access to various resources such as libraries, tutors, and academic coaching.

University of Missouri President Mun Choi expressed pride in their achievements: "We are proud to be one of the country’s top universities for impactful online education. The rankings appear in the 2025 edition of Best Online Programs by U.S. News & World Report based on data from 2024. Universities with online programs are evaluated on engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and peer assessment. Each program's score is calculated using data reported annually to U.S. News.
