Saint Louis University (SLU) is set to host a national security symposium focusing on the strategic relationship between the United States and China. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 4, at SLU's Center for Global Citizenship.
The symposium is designed for local students and educators interested in understanding China's role in the global landscape. Ashley Johnson, FBI Special Agent in Charge of the St. Louis Field Office, will deliver the keynote presentation. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how different disciplines can address US-China security concerns. Discussions will cover topics such as China's influence through artificial intelligence, its economic dynamics, and challenges within U.S.-China relations.
This marks the third conference organized by SLU’s Midwest Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (MW-IC CAE). The center was established in 2022 with funding from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and aims to prepare students for careers in U.S. intelligence agencies by developing relevant STEM curricula and training programs.
An Intelligence Community Career Fair will also be part of the event, offering insights into career opportunities within intelligence sectors for U.S. citizens.
The symposium is sponsored by SLU, alongside contributions from the Director of National Intelligence IC CAE Program Office and National Intelligence University.
