Two men have been charged in connection with the kidnapping and death of a woman in Clayton, Missouri. Anjuan Q. Mosby, 43, from St. Louis, faces charges of kidnapping resulting in death. Emmanuel Suarez, 36, also from St. Louis, was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to affidavits supporting the complaints, Mosby allegedly kidnapped the woman on November 20 and forced her to withdraw cash from a bank before attempting another withdrawal unsuccessfully. The affidavit states that Mosby fatally shot the victim later that morning on Greer Avenue in St. Louis.

The documents accuse Suarez of driving a stolen Ram pickup truck during the incident and possessing a .45-caliber Glock handgun at the time of his arrest. As a felon, Suarez is prohibited from possessing firearms.

It is important to note that charges in criminal complaints are accusations and do not prove guilt; defendants are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.

If convicted, Mosby could face life imprisonment or the death penalty along with fines up to $250,000 for the kidnapping charge. Suarez could face up to 15 years imprisonment for possession as well as similar fines.

This case has been investigated by multiple law enforcement agencies including the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ashley Walker is handling prosecution efforts.

The case forms part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which aims to reduce violent crime through collaboration between law enforcement and communities while focusing on trust-building initiatives and strategic enforcement priorities.
