The Missouri Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) has announced its endorsement of Senator Lincoln Hough for the position of Missouri Lieutenant Governor.
“Sen. Lincoln Hough has been at the center of Missouri’s efforts to grow jobs and improve the economy,” said Roger Archibald, chairman of the Missouri Chamber PAC. “As chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, his visionary leadership was instrumental in securing $2.8 billion to expand I-70 across the state – a monumental investment in our transportation system. He also secured funding to help onshore high-tech semiconductor and active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing in Missouri, which is vital for our national security. Sen. Hough has consistently focused on workforce development, a top priority of the business community. Most importantly, he has never shied away from tough decisions, and the Missouri Chamber PAC is proud to support Lincoln Hough as our next lieutenant governor.”
Hough has served as a key leader in the Senate, fending off attacks on the free enterprise system and standing up for employers’ right to “let business decide” on workplace policies. His public service led the Missouri Chamber to honor him with its highest individual honor, the Missourian in the Arena award, in 2023.
“The Missouri Chamber and its members have stood and fought to protect Missouri business, jobs and private enterprise,” Hough said. “It’s been my privilege to stand alongside them in that fight, and I’m honored to receive their support for my campaign.”
With this endorsement, the Missouri Chamber PAC is urging voters to support Hough in the August 6 primary election as he seeks to continue his service to Missouri.
“There is a lot at stake in the August 6 primary,” Archibald said. “Missouri’s business community is keenly aware of the impact and influence the position of lieutenant governor has on policy in our state — especially considering the responsibility to cast tie-breaking votes in the Missouri Senate. Now, more than ever, Missouri needs candidates like Lincoln Hough who come to Jefferson City ready to move Missouri forward.”
The Missouri Chamber PAC is part of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is noted as being Missouri’s largest business association. The PAC undergoes a rigorous candidate endorsement selection process that includes analysis of candidate positions on key economic issues and interviews with its board.
The mission of the Missouri Chamber PAC is focused on electing pro-jobs and pro-business candidates who support private-sector job creation and economic growth.
