St. Louis Children’s Hospital has been ranked as the top pediatric hospital in Missouri and St. Louis by U.S. News & World Report, with the hospital also placing third in the Midwest region. This marks the 17th consecutive year that St. Louis Children’s has achieved this recognition for excellence in pediatric care.

The rankings are based on data analysis from more than 100 pediatric hospitals across the country. St. Louis Children’s Hospital was recognized in all 11 specialty areas evaluated, and placed among the top 20 nationally in five of those specialties.

Trish Lollo, president of St. Louis Children’s Hospital, commented on the achievement: “At St. Louis Children’s Hospital, we are committed to providing extraordinary, compassionate care to every patient, every family, every day. We are honored to be named the top pediatric hospital in Missouri and St. Louis and take great pride with WashU Medicine in caring for patients and families from our community and beyond.”

WashU Medicine physicians exclusively provide medical care at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, bringing expertise informed by current research developments to patients requiring specialized treatment.

BJC Health System received a total of 109 recognitions for clinical excellence from U.S. News & World Report earlier this year, including Barnes-Jewish Hospital being named No. 1 in both St. Louis and Missouri.

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is part of BJC Health System, one of the largest nonprofit healthcare organizations in the United States, which serves patients from all states and over 80 countries worldwide. The hospital has received Magnet Recognition for nursing excellence four consecutive times and is recognized as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons.
