St. Louis will gain new nonstop air service to London as British Airways plans to launch flights between St. Louis Lambert International Airport and London Heathrow Airport starting in April 2026. The flights are scheduled to operate four days a week.
“Expanding connectivity is critical to our work to grow St. Louis, and this new nonstop service to London will greatly increase our ability to attract international investment and to showcase St. Louis on the global stage,” said Greater St. Louis, Inc. Interim CEO Dustin Allison.
Greater St. Louis, Inc. (GSL) has recently focused on promoting the region internationally by leading trade delegations and attending trade shows in Europe and other locations. “We’ve been intentional in our work to promote St. Louis as a destination to international markets, and that work is paying off,” Allison added.
Later this year, GSL and Explore St. Louis plan to lead a trade delegation to London aimed at increasing business and tourism opportunities before the flights begin next spring.
The announcement of the new route follows Lufthansa’s recent decision to expand its nonstop flight service between St. Louis and Frankfurt from three days a week to five, beginning June 2026.
“This is a great day for St. Louis, and we want to thank and congratulate Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge and the leadership at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the St. Louis Port Authority, the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, World Trade Center, and Explore St. Louis for their leadership and partnership in support of St. Louis’ continued growth,” said Allison.
British Airways’ nonstop flight service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to London Heathrow Airport begins April 19, 2026, with tickets available now through British Airways’ website.
