U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) has expressed support for the Senate’s confirmation of Cristian Stevens and Joshua Divine as judges for the Eastern District of Missouri. Both Stevens and Divine previously worked with Schmitt during his time as Missouri’s Attorney General.

Senator Schmitt addressed the Senate floor regarding the nominees, stating, “I was proud to support Cristian Stevens and Josh Divine’s nominations to serve as Judges for the Eastern District of Missouri and am glad that they have both been confirmed by the Senate. Both nominees are extraordinary legal minds who worked with me during my tenure as Missouri’s Attorney General, where we fought each day to uphold the rule of law and keep Missourians safe. Thank you, President Trump, for nominating these outstanding individuals and to my Senate colleagues for their support. I know they will serve the Show Me State with honor and distinction for years to come.”

Schmitt also played a significant role in collaborating with President Trump and the White House to prioritize judicial appointments in Missouri.
