Saint Louis University has announced the addition of several new full-time faculty members for the academic year. The appointments span a range of departments, including history, psychology, education, medicine, and nursing.
Among those joining are Ken Homan, S.J., Ph.D., as assistant professor of history; Quang Tran, S.J., Ph.D., as assistant professor of psychology; and Stephen Nickell, Ed.D., who will serve as associate dean of student and academic affairs. Other new faculty include Stephanie Gellar and Adna Karamehic-Oates, Ph.D., who joins the Center for Bosnian Studies as an associate professor.
The university also welcomes Megan Brown as director of early career mentoring, Mei-Ling Tung, Ph.D., and Madeleine Bailey, Ph.D., both assistant professors in education.
In the School of Medicine and related fields, numerous professionals have been appointed to roles such as assistant professor or instructor across surgery, biochemistry and molecular biology, otolaryngology, pediatrics, neurology, radiology, anesthesiology, internal medicine, pathology, psychiatry, OB/GYN (obstetrics and gynecology), orthopaedic surgery, pharmacology and physiology. These appointments include Daniel Aaronson, M.D.; Madison Adolph, Ph.D.; Ayham Alkarmi, M.D.; Anthony Anzell, Ph.D.; Deniz Atilgan, M.D.; Asif Aziz, M.D.; Amirhossein Bajgiran, M.D.; Molly Barr, M.D.; Kevin Barton, M.D.; Charles Baysinger, M.D.; Adam Benckendorf D.O.; Daniel Berg M.D.; Govind Bhagat Ph.D.; Christopher Brenner D.O.; Terry Bujnak D.O.; Angela Capps Ph.D.; Emily Casanova Ph.D.; Maithreyi Chappidi M.D., among others.
The list continues with faculty in family and community medicine; OB/GYN; orthopaedic surgery; internal medicine; pediatrics; anesthesiology; psychiatry; health and clinical outcomes research; pathology; applied behavior analysis program in the School of Social Work; psychology; English; and nursing.
These appointments reflect Saint Louis University's ongoing commitment to strengthening its academic programs by bringing in new expertise across disciplines.
