A Missouri Lottery player has successfully claimed a $50,000 Powerball prize from a ticket purchased at Price Chopper located at 937 N.E. Woods Chapel Road in Lee’s Summit. The winning ticket was for the March 31 drawing.
The numbers drawn that evening were 12, 41, 44, 52, and 64 with a Powerball number of 25. The winner matched four of the white-ball numbers along with the Powerball number and collected their prize at the Missouri Lottery's regional office in Kansas City several weeks later.
As of this year, players in Jackson County have won over $28.7 million through Missouri Lottery games. More than $5.5 million of these winnings came from Draw Games prizes.
Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m.
In fiscal year 2024, Jackson County players won more than $109.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received over $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses while more than $22 million from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
