An unexpected visit to Missouri turned out to be quite profitable for one out-of-state resident who secured a $100,000 top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Heaps of $500’s" Scratchers ticket. This winning ticket was purchased at the Circle K located at 3700 Elm St. in St. Charles.

The fortunate player claimed her prize at the Missouri Lottery's St. Louis office on April 15. The $5 “Heaps of $500’s” game has already seen players collect over $11.5 million in prizes. However, more than $5.6 million in prizes, including two additional $100,000 prizes and a $20,000 prize, have yet to be claimed.

In the fiscal year 2024, players in St. Charles County won upwards of $68.2 million through the Missouri Lottery. Retailers received over $6.4 million in commissions and bonuses. Additionally, more than $16.5 million from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
