A Missouri Lottery player from Sturgeon has won a $2 million Lotto ticket, becoming Boone County's first lottery millionaire this year. The lucky ticket was purchased at Prenger Foods, located at 105 W. Smith St., and matched all six numbers drawn in Saturday night's draw: 2, 6, 8, 10, 16, and 28.

This win follows a recent large lottery prize in Boone County, where a player won $100,000 with a "$2,000,000 Extreme Cash" Scratchers ticket bought at a Columbia QuikTrip last month.

Prizes over $600 must be claimed by appointment at any of the four Missouri Lottery offices in Jefferson City, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield. Winners of draw games have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize, giving this Lotto winner until October 23 to do so.

Lotto drawings occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:59 p.m. Following this recent win, the jackpot has reset to $1 million for the next drawing on Wednesday, April 30.
