A Missouri Lottery player recently scored the first $100,000 top prize in the "Extreme Green" Scratchers game. The winning ticket was purchased at On the Go, located at 402 Highway Business 60 E. in Dexter.

"The new ticket caught my attention, and I decided to give it a try," said the winner.

Upon discovering the win, the player experienced a sense of disbelief. "At first, I kind of went numb," the winner chuckled. "Then, I started telling everyone in the store I won!"

The prize money will be used for practical purposes. "I plan to catch up on some bills and complete a few projects around the house," the winner added.

The "Extreme Green" Scratchers ticket, released on March 31, costs $5. Since its launch, the game has seen players winning over $1.4 million in prizes. Over $12.6 million in prizes are still unclaimed, including four more $100,000 prizes and nine $20,000 prizes.

In the fiscal year 2024, players from Stoddard County won more than $6.6 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the area received more than $545,000 in commissions and bonuses. Additionally, more than $3.3 million in lottery proceeds were allocated to education programs within the county.
