Saint Louis University is set to host its inaugural Tech-Chain conference on October 18, at the Busch Student Center. Organized by the university's Center for Supply Chain Excellence, this event aims to explore the integration of artificial intelligence in supply chain management.
The conference will cover topics such as machine learning transformations in supply chains, Bayer's digital journey, and generative AI governance. Additionally, discussions will focus on dispelling myths surrounding digital twins and implementing AI products. "Supply chain management is integrated with the latest technology and we will be discussing cutting-edge tools," stated Vineet Sharma, director of SLU’s Center for Supply Chain Excellence.
Speakers include notable figures like Johnny Ivanyi from Bayer Corporation, Mohit Ahuja from Caterpillar, Naren Agrawal from Santa Clara University, Rajinder Bhandal from Leeds University, and Gowri Selka from Volantsys Analytics.
A hands-on workshop led by KNIME Analytics will provide participants with skills in fraud detection and data app development using their low-code platform. This session aims to equip attendees with practical GenAI applications without requiring coding expertise.
Key integrations such as GPT4All and Hugging Face will also be explored during the workshop. Attendees are advised to bring laptops with pre-installed KNIME software to fully engage in these activities.
SLU’s Center for Supply Chain Excellence offers comprehensive training in various supply chain disciplines through events like this one. Advance registration for the conference is mandatory, with an early bird rate available until October 4.
