The University of Missouri has announced that the Conley Avenue Parking Structure (CAPS) will remain closed as part of an ongoing repair and maintenance project. The structure, which was temporarily closed on August 17 following an inspection, is the university's oldest parking facility with around 700 spaces.

The project, valued at $5.5 million, is anticipated to commence before the end of 2024 and aims for completion by fall 2025. It includes approximately $2.5 million in unrelated maintenance work that was already scheduled for completion in 2025.

During the closure, accommodations have been made for CAPS permit holders among students, staff, and faculty. They will continue their temporary relocation to other campus parking structures such as Turner Avenue Parking Structure or Hitt Street Parking Structure throughout the project's duration.

The university advises all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to allow extra time when seeking parking spots due to the temporary loss of CAPS' approximately 700 spaces.

For more information on visitor parking arrangements during this period, please visit the university's website.
