Thank you to the Missouri Hospital Association and their partners, including DHSS team members, for 20 years of work implementing initiatives that keep patients and communities safe!
A few examples of these initiatives developed through the Hospital Preparedness Program include:
standardized, plain language emergency overhead codes
statewide hospital mutual aid agreement that has been utilized successfully in numerous real-world incidents
expertise and assistance in emergency events and threats such as COVID-19, the Joplin tornado and the Amtrak derailment
September is National Preparedness Month and this year, we are celebrating 20 years of the Hospital Preparedness Program alongside MHA.
