Two new members have joined the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry's governmental affairs team. Luke Reed will take on the role of director of legislative affairs, while Cade Tremain will serve as manager of governmental affairs.

Reed has a background in Missouri state government. He recently worked as legislative director for the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance, where he advocated for stakeholders in insurance, banking, and utilities. Additionally, he was involved with the Missouri Department of Transportation in designing legislative solutions for public travel needs. Reed holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Washington University and a master's degree in public affairs from the University of Missouri.

Tremain previously worked as an outreach services coordinator with the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development. His role involved engaging with high school students and adult learners interested in pursuing higher education or career changes. Tremain returns to the Missouri Chamber after serving as a legislative affairs intern in 2023. He is an alumnus of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where he studied political science and American politics.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome Luke and Cade to our team ahead of the 2025 legislative session," said Missouri Chamber President and CEO Kara Corches. "They will serve our members well as we work to ensure employers' voices are heard at the State Capitol."

Reed and Tremain can be contacted via email at lreed@mochamber.com and ctremain@mochamber.com or by phone at (573) 634-3511.
