May 28: Congressional Record publishes “VOTE EXPLANATION” in the Senate section

Volume 167, No. 94, covering the 1st Session of the 117th Congress (2021 - 2022), was published by the Congressional Record.

The Congressional Record is a unique source of public documentation. It started in 1873, documenting nearly all the major and minor policies being discussed and debated.

“VOTE EXPLANATION” mentioning Josh Hawley was published in the Senate section on page S3932 on May 28.

Of the 100 senators in 117th Congress, 24 percent were women, and 76 percent were men, according to the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress.

Senators' salaries are historically higher than the median US income.

Mr. HAWLEY. Madam President, had there been a recorded vote, I would have voted ``No'' on the nomination of Anton George Hajjar, of Maryland, to be a Governor of the United States Postal Service.

``No'' on the nomination of Eric S. Lander, of Massachusetts, to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
