St. Paul home prices rise in the first quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2020 in St. Paul rose by $156,000 while total sales decreased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2020, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $380,000 - a 69.6% increase over the $224,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in St. Paul in the first quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,877, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2020.
