In a recent interview on Wake Up Missouri, Brad Jones, State Director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Missouri, spoke about the results of NFIB's latest Small Business Economic Trends (SBET) survey. Jones addressed concerns over declining optimism among small business owners.
“The number one question that I look at is, ‘Do you expect the economy to improve in the next six months?’ It was down 11 points. I haven’t seen it drop like that in a while,” Jones said. “In a nutshell, it looks like we’ve got a slowing economy, at least in the small business sector.”
Jones’ comments highlight growing worries about economic conditions among Missouri's small business community. He pointed out that a significant decline in expectations signals a potential slowdown in this sector.
