After winning a $189,000 Show Me Cash jackpot, a Missouri Lottery player expressed her plans to use some of the money for a charitable cause. "I plan to visit St. Jude’s Hospital and purchase gifts for all the children," she stated. "Helping children and their families is my passion."

The winner discovered her good fortune after returning to QuikTrip in Kansas City, where she had her ticket checked by a clerk. The winning numbers from the June 27 drawing were 13, 15, 24, 26, and 39.

Recalling the moment she learned of her win, the winner said, “She looked at me and said, ‘I have never, never seen someone win this much!’” She added that she was overwhelmed with disbelief as her knees weakened and she felt lightheaded.

Show Me Cash drawings occur daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots starting at $50,000 and increasing until claimed. The current jackpot stands at an estimated $320,000.

In fiscal year 2024 (FY24), players in Jackson County won over $109.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses while over $22 million from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
