An ordinary day took an unexpected turn for a Missouri Lottery player in Clinton when she purchased a "Break the Bank" Scratchers ticket at Casey's, located at 701 E. Ohio St. The player was surprised to discover she had won one of the game's $100,000 top prizes.
"I was so surprised I didn’t know if it was real at first," the winner said. Her disbelief turned into certainty after scanning the ticket at the store's check-a-ticket machine. "I was shocked but very happy!" she added.
The "Break the Bank" game has awarded over $5.8 million in prizes since its launch on April 28, with more than $12.6 million still available, including four additional top prizes of $100,000.
In Henry County last fiscal year, players won more than $4.4 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned over $358,000 in commissions and bonuses, while education programs received more than $377,000 from appropriated Lottery proceeds.
