A Missouri Lottery player experienced an unexpected windfall at the State Line Pit Stop in Mindenmines, located at 1738 W. Highway 160. The player won a $50,000 prize from a "500X" Scratchers ticket.

"I just went into the gas station and picked it out," the winner recounted about his winning ticket selection.

Upon realizing the win, he shared the news with someone close to him. "I told my friend right away," he stated. "We play Scratchers together sometimes, so it was exciting."

The "500X" game has seen players claim over $187.4 million in prizes to date. There remains $70.1 million in unclaimed prizes, which includes a top prize of $5 million and 14 additional $50,000 prizes.

In Barton County last fiscal year, lottery players won more than $1.4 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Additionally, retailers earned over $141,000 in commissions and bonuses while education programs benefited from more than $725,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
