A Missouri Lottery player from Washington County has claimed one of the 50 available $50,000 prizes in the newly launched "$250 Million Extravaganza" Scratchers game. The winning ticket was purchased at Quick Stop, located at 10215 W. Highway E in Potosi.

"I saw it was a new game and it was in the number two spot," said the winner. "So, I decided to try one."

The winner expressed excitement upon realizing her win while still inside the store.

"I was still in the store and didn’t want anyone to know I had a ticket worth $50,000 in my back pocket!" she said with a laugh. "I can replace my beater with a heater and get a new car!"

Since its release on May 27, players have won over $3.7 million playing "$250 Million Extravaganza." There are still more than $263.4 million in unclaimed prizes, including all three top prizes of $5 million, three $1 million prizes, and 48 additional $50,000 prizes.

In fiscal year 2024, players in Washington County won over $5.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $467,000 in commissions and bonuses, while more than $3.4 million from Lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
