A Missouri Lottery player has confirmed winning a $50,000 top prize on the "Cash Quest" Scratchers game. The ticket was purchased at Break Time, located at 600 S. Highway 5 in Tipton.

After scratching the ticket, the winner recounted their cautious approach to verifying the win: “After scratching it, we took it back to the store and scanned it on the machine,” he said. “The screen showed we won, but we weren’t really sure. I had the cashier check it and then had the other cashier check it, too!”

The winner's wife expressed disbelief at their good fortune: “We couldn’t believe it,” she exclaimed. “Regular people like us don’t win the Lottery!”

Since its release, players of the "$50,000 Cash Quest" game have claimed over $5.4 million in prizes. However, more than $3.4 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including another $50,000 prize and 23 prizes of $1,000 each.

In fiscal year 2024 (FY24), Moniteau County players won over $2.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned more than $243,000 in commissions and bonuses while education programs in the county received over $91,500 from lottery proceeds.
