A Missouri Lottery player recently won a $50,000 prize from a Scratchers ticket purchased at Rocket, located at 2140 W. Terra Lane in O’Fallon. The winner recounted his experience: “I take my recycling stuff out there, and then I stopped by that service station and bought a ticket.”

The player, who enjoys $50 Scratchers games, chose a “$5,000,000 Fortune” ticket and returned to his car to scratch it. Upon noticing matching numbers, he said, “When I saw the numbers all start to match, I stopped scratching and took it back in to have them check it.” A clerk scanned the ticket and confirmed the win as one of 40 prizes of $50,000 available in the game.

He shared the moment with his wife: “After that, I took it back home to my wife and had her scratch the rest of it off,” he said. “By the time she was done, she was so excited!”

The “$5,000,000 Fortune” game has awarded over $107.7 million in prizes so far. There are still more than $144.7 million in unclaimed prizes remaining, including a top prize of $5 million, three prizes of $1 million each, and 23 additional $50,000 prizes.

In St. Charles County last fiscal year alone, players won over $68.2 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned more than $6.4 million in commissions and bonuses while education programs received over $16.5 million from appropriated Lottery proceeds.

Additionally, Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets adhere to government-regulated standards for recycled materials.
