A Missouri Lottery player recently experienced a surprising win with a "Cash Box Bingo" ticket purchased at Casey's in Sedalia. The ticket revealed one of the game's top prizes, valued at $55,558.
“I was looking at it and I was like, ‘You have got to be kidding me!’” the winner said, expressing her disbelief at the unexpected windfall. She immediately called her partner to share the news.
“I told her she was full of it!” he responded humorously.
Still skeptical about her luck, she returned to the store to verify the win. “I was still in disbelief until they checked it for me,” she added.
The "Cash Box Bingo" game, priced at $3 per ticket, launched on March 3. So far, players have claimed over $1.8 million in prizes, with $9.4 million remaining unclaimed. This includes four more top prizes of $55,558 each.
In fiscal year 2024, Pettis County players won over $9.6 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned more than $872,000 in commissions and bonuses while education programs received over $806,000 from lottery proceeds.
