A Missouri Lottery player from Jackson County experienced an unforgettable moment after winning $55,558 on a "Cash Box Bingo" ticket. The ticket was purchased at Big B’s located at 3800 E. Gregory Blvd. in Kansas City and was taken home to be scratched.
The winner expressed his surprise by stating, “I was shocked!” Initially met with disbelief from his girlfriend, he confirmed the win by having the ticket scanned at a retail location. “I had to take her to the store and when they showed her, that’s when she really realized,” he recounted.
Since its launch on March 3, players have won over $1.8 million playing "Cash Box Bingo." Currently, there are still $9.4 million in unclaimed prizes available, including four more prizes of $55,558.
In the fiscal year 2024, Jackson County players won more than $109.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned over $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses while more than $22 million from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
