The ongoing tornado recovery efforts in St. Louis require continued support from the community, as teams on the ground still need supplies, donations, and volunteers. Three locations have been set up to distribute materials for recovery.

At 4theVille, located at 4144 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, relief efforts will continue through Friday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The team here has expressed a significant need for skilled volunteers comfortable with power tools and ladder work for home stabilization efforts. Those interested can visit the location or call 314-280-3247 to coordinate scheduling.

Supplies needed at this site include construction materials such as plywood, tarps, OSB sheathing or Zip Boards, poly sheeting, various screws and nails, caulk and caulk guns, dehumidifiers, tools like hammers and drills, protective gear including work gloves and hard hats, general supplies like tents and batteries, food items like water and shelf-stable foods, personal care products including soap and shampoo.

Action St. Louis/The People's Response is operating out of the O’Fallon Park Rec Center at 4343 West Florissant Avenue with new hours of operation through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the remainder of the week.

Urgent needs at this location include Enfamil (yellow label), distilled water, flashlights, solar-powered lights, reusable bags/totes along with cleaning supplies. Other requested items range from construction materials to canned food products that do not require a can opener.

At Urban League Headquarters – 1408 North Kingshighway – there is an ongoing request for tarps to cover exposed roofs among other supplies such as caulk guns and hand saws. Food items required include canned fruits and vegetables along with general supplies like bottled water and flashlights.

Volunteers are essential across all locations; opportunities are available through The United Way of Greater St. Louis and Action St. Louis/The People's Response volunteer centers.

Donations remain crucial in supporting immediate relief efforts as well as long-term rebuilding initiatives via funds established by the City of St. Louis in collaboration with the St. Louis Community Foundation.

For impacted businesses seeking assistance or individuals needing immediate relief resources can be found on the City's website.

Contributions can also be made to United Way of Greater St. Louis Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund aiding residents affected by recent storms alongside disaster response nonprofits working towards long-term recovery solutions.
