A Missouri Lottery player secured a $174,000 Show Me Cash jackpot after purchasing a ticket during a quick stop for snacks on May 5. The winner recounted the experience, stating, “I was on my way to a ballgame. I stopped for a bag of peanuts and picked up a couple of Quick Pick tickets.”
The following morning, while checking his tickets, he discovered one was indeed a winner. To confirm, he asked his wife to double-check the ticket in their kitchen. It turned out that the ticket purchased at Schnucks located at 5055 Arsenal St. in St. Louis matched all five numbers from the previous night's draw: 7, 13, 19, 28, and 39.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with starting jackpots of $50,000 that increase until claimed.
