The tornado recovery effort in St. Louis continues, with the coordination team providing daily updates on necessary supplies and delivery locations. The focus remains on debris removal and securing properties.
Three main delivery sites have been identified for different supply needs:
At 4theVille, located at 4144 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, there is a need for construction and clean-up materials such as tarps, poly sheeting, lumber, screws, caulk, tools like drills and saws, protective gear like gloves and eyewear, along with general supplies including power banks and cleaning products. A mobile shower set up here requires toiletries such as towels and soap.
Action St. Louis at the O’Fallon Park Rec Center (4343 West Florissant Avenue) requests similar construction materials along with additional items like tents and baby products. Water remains a critical need at this location.
The Urban League Headquarters at 1408 North Kingshighway seeks general supplies including bottled water, batteries, flashlights, tarps, extension cords, phone chargers, canned foods like fruits and soups as well as infant care items.
Volunteers are needed across all locations to assist with various tasks. Those interested can find more opportunities through The United Way of Greater St. Louis' volunteer center.
Donations are also being accepted to support relief efforts via the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund established by the city in collaboration with the St. Louis Community Foundation. This fund aims to provide immediate relief and support long-term rebuilding efforts in affected areas.
For businesses impacted by the storm, an assessment form has been set up by the St. Louis Development Corporation to understand their specific needs better.
Residents seeking immediate relief or resources can visit the city's page for more information.
Additionally, contributions can be made to the United Way of Greater St. Louis Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund to aid residents across the bi-state region affected by recent storms.
