The ongoing tornado recovery effort in St. Louis continues to require significant support from the community. Daily updates are being provided by the coordination team, highlighting the essential supplies needed and their designated delivery locations.
The focus remains on debris removal and securing properties. Supplies are requested at three specific locations, each with differing needs.
At 4theVille, located at 4144 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, construction and clean-up materials such as tarps, poly sheeting, lumber, screws, and various tools are required. General supplies like personal power banks, batteries, flashlights, cleaning products, and water are also needed. Additionally, a mobile shower set up at this location requires towels, soap, flip flops, toiletries, and shampoo.
Action St. Louis at the O’Fallon Park Rec Center is seeking similar construction materials including tarps and poly sheeting along with power saws and other tools. General supplies needed include baby products like diapers and formula, tents for shelter, personal hygiene items, and menstrual products. Water remains a critical need here as well.
The Urban League Headquarters at 1408 North Kingshighway requests general supplies such as bottled water, batteries, flashlights, trash bags, large tarps, extension cords, phone chargers and surge protectors. They also seek food items including canned goods with pop-tops for easy access.
Volunteers are still in demand across all three locations to assist with various tasks. The United Way of Greater St. Louis has established a volunteer center for those interested in contributing their time.
Donations can be made to the City of St. Louis Tornado Response Fund established by the St. Louis Community Foundation to support immediate relief efforts and long-term rebuilding initiatives in storm-affected areas.
For businesses impacted by the storm, an assessment form has been created through the St. Louis Development Corporation to better understand their needs.
Those seeking immediate relief or resources can visit the City’s webpage for more information.
Additionally, contributions can be made to the United Way of Greater St. Louis Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund which aids residents across the bi-state region affected by recent storms.
