U.S. Senator Josh Hawley announced that President Donald Trump has approved two major disaster declarations for Missouri, allowing federal aid to support recovery and rebuilding efforts following storms in March and early April.

President Trump's decision followed a conversation with Senator Hawley regarding the need for disaster assistance in Missouri.

"Following our discussion Wednesday, President Trump has approved multiple disaster declarations for Missouri," tweeted Senator Hawley on May 23, 2025.

Senator Hawley also requested federal assistance for recent storms in Eastern Missouri and spent Monday assessing tornado damage in the area.
